The Meshfree Radial Point Interpolation Method (RPIM) for Wave Propagation Dynamics in Non-Homogeneous Media

چکیده

This work presents a novel simulation approach to couple the meshfree radial point interpolation method (RPIM) with implicit direct time integration for transient analysis of wave propagation dynamics in non-homogeneous media. In this approach, RPIM is adopted discretization overall space domain, while domain completed by employing efficient Bathe stepping scheme. The dispersion demonstrates that, analysis, amount numerical error resulting from can be suppressed at very low level when employed nodal support function adequately large. Meanwhile, it also mathematically shown that actually monotonically decreasing non-dimensional interval. Consequently, present capable effectively handling media, and disparate waves different speeds solved concurrently high computation accuracy. feature makes more suitable complicated than traditional finite element because always cannot accurately.
